LARRY KEMP
Larry Kemp, founder of Kemp Logistic Solutions, is a nationally recognized entrepreneur, business strategist, and keynote speaker whose journey from adversity to success continues to inspire leaders across industries.
Growing up in borderline poverty and overcoming a challenging learning disability, Kemp defied the odds to earn a business degree from The University of Texas at Arlington. He went on to join IBM, where he quickly rose through the ranks to become a top-performing member of the financial management team—marketing $1 million financing solutions to high-level clients. When the company culture shifted, Kemp leaned into his entrepreneurial roots and forged a new path forward.
In 1998, as a fourth-generation entrepreneur, he took over his father Jesse Kemp’s small commercial cleaning business—launched in 1972 with just $10—and transformed it into a multimillion-dollar environmental services enterprise. Under his leadership, Kemp and Sons General Services expanded to more than 200 employees and secured nearly $22 million in contracts. The company’s exceptional growth has been featured in Harvard Business School case studies, Inc., CNN Money, Forbes, Dallas Morning News, and more.
As a trusted consultant and speaker, Kemp has partnered with executives, universities, nonprofits, and correctional facilities. He serves on numerous boards and committees focused on business diversity, economic development, and college athletics. A passionate mentor, he shares proven strategies for overcoming obstacles, accelerating performance, and achieving sustainable success—while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Kemp’s core belief: Failure is not an option. There is greatness within us all. Nothing is impossible.
